A Question:

Sat Apr 25, 2009, 9:51 AM
If someone you don't particularly like, (but you are neither friends nor enemies,) suddenly spoke to you and said: "If I die tomorrow..." how would you react or reply?

----------

And no, this hadn't happened. I hesitated about typing in this footnote cause I want people to write down this first impression / reaction / reply in all honesty to the question. I don't mean to scare or alarm anyone, but I'd like feedback for an original story I'm working on... :slow:

The "Request" thread still open: [ [link] ] feel free to drop any thoughts or such, cause I've somewhat hit a wall with some half-finished pictures...
Also, "Make a Wish" thread is open as well, [ [link] ] it helps me find inspiration,

I...really don't know how I would react. I think even if they were my enemy I'd be a bit alarmed. If they were my friend I'd freak out and wonder why they said that, but if they were just like...someone I was kinda neautral towards...I don't know. I think I might be more inclined to be really alarmed and want to know why they were saying that and what they wanted me to do. Is there anything I could do to help or are they just curious. That kind of thing.

If people make fun of you, it's only because they wish they had the courage to stand out like you.

'er.. hmm.. so..need..something-? ' or just hearing and stay with him/her. -like this? XD;;;; I think he/she (Okay I'll call that someone = he. XD) need something , acting or help.. or just hope someone stay with him or whatever so he spoke to me and said. maybe he just wanna say it. than I'm hearing for it. cuz you know, when we get hard time, someone stay with us, that so .. cheer us up. and think I can do it. (that's not hard work) so.. >.<

There are people who say similar things to me..like "I think I will die soon..."

Sometimes I'm: "NO YOU WON'T!!!!!!!"
Some other time... "I see...let me be with you..."
And other times: "...why...?"

About the case you wrote:
If it is just an assumption without serious chance that it would happen then my possible reactions could be like this.

"Why do you ask it? Why do you ask me...?"
The rest is depending on the answer...

Shhh!!! My common sence is tingling!!

Well, me personally I tend to have a great affection for people in general, unless they've given me reason to otherwise. In all honestly I have affections for the avarage person on the street, so if some-one I don't consider a friend and don't have any special attachment to but I did not consider an enemy asked me how I would react if they died, my answer to their face would be "I'd be very sad" which is the truth, but I would not elaborate, because to elaborate would mean to tell them that it would not be because they as an individual personality would die, but because it would be a life lost, and I am always saddened by such a thing. Of course if some-one were to tell me such a thing I would also want them to tell me why they're asking such a question, in case there was a deeper meaning to it since I'd become concerned. I'd want to know if they're in trouble and if there's anything I could do to help. If they told me no I wouldn't keep pushing the issue and simply back off (since I do not know them very well) but I would still carry an uncomfortable feeling with me and worry, but in a more selfish way, because if they were to die tomorrow I would of course feel somewhat involved and so my concern would stem from that rather than worry about the individual person. Not very flattering I know, but that's honestly how I would see myself reacting.
But my main focus would always be to offer help where I can because, being completely honest and not painting myself as a saint or being narcissistic, my nature has always been to help and be there for others, regardless of how many times I've been hurt because of it.

The situation isn't 'someone I don't know' it's more "I know you, but we're not friends or enemies," type.
